When you become a Lifetime or life/spouse member of the Alumni Association you are making a great commitment for the continuation of the Alumni Association and it's Scholarship Foundation which provides Scholarships and Grants for graduates to our community here in Fillmore.
These life and life/spouse memberships have been invested in safe securities and the interest and dividends from these funds are transferred each month to the Fillmore High Alumni Association.
As of March 31, 2006, the alumni has $85,208.80 in the Life Endowment Fund earning interest.
When a new life or life/spouse membership is given, these funds go directly to the Life Endowment Fund.
In this manner, we have assured the financing of the many activities the Alumni Association provides to its members and to the classes of Fillmore High School. What does the Alumni association provide you ask?
The list is long and varied, but to mention a few:
An office is rented with a rental charge each month, the alumni office has a telephone, two computers with internet access, filing cabinets, desk and office supplies.You have an unpaid Executive Director reporting each day!

Services are many; however, if you have any request such as a class list, finding a "buddy", materials for class reunions, etc., etc.this request has been fulfilled to the best of our ability.
The Alumni Association handles the paper work and costs for the Fillmore High Scholarship Foundation. The paper work from $250.00 scholarships to over $30,000 scholarships given this year has increased greatly.
But, most importantly, is the fact that you, as a life, or life-spouse member, are contributing to the continuation of the Alumni Association and will be assisting as long as the alumni exists.

Life Membership List & Life/Spouse Membership Lists
Submitted by Conway Spitler on April 30, 2007 - 4:04pm.It is absolutely fascinating how an individal can think everything is "complete" and then behold all the e-mails saying this and that. All those e-mails saying "this and that" ARE APPRECIATED.
First it means you are reading what is out there!
Secondly it keeps the alumni association up-to-date!
Would love to have you sitting at the computer and see the e-mails that come each day! Every one is read and action is taken as rapidly as possible to answer, correct, or whatever has to be done.
At this time the life and life/spouse listings are being updated. And I cannot believe some of the life or life/members that are not listed! You think there is a gremlin here. If you are patient and keep the alumni informed all this information will be updated.
Remember there is one or two of us in the office and the amount of "traffic" has inceased considerably with the website. This I like--more people knowing what is being done for them. More people letting us know what they think we are doing for them. Together we can make the alumni association even better.
So, let us hear what you think! Let us read the "problems" that occur. You may be assured that attention will be given to your requests.
