James Dewitt, born May 18, 1933, passed away in Mesquite, TX on March 8, 2010.  He was the son of Roger and Reba Dewitt.  James proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.  He was a member of Eastridge Park Christian Church in Mesquite and a member of Elks Lodge #2404 in Mesquite.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Carol Ann Dewitt; daughter, Rhonda Dewitt of Houston, TX; son, Dennis Dewitt of Mesquite, TX; brother, Thomas Dewitt of Las Vegas, NV; and two granddaughters, Carley Dewitt and Kayla Dewitt of Mesquite, TX.  He also leaves behind sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces and the special friends of the Mesquite Elks Lodge.  Visitation was Thursday, March 11 and funeral services were Friday, March 12 in Mesquite.
