Glen Southwick was born March 4, 1923 in Lincoln, ID and died March 28, 2010 in Reno, NV, the third son of James and Leona Southwick.

Glen is survived by his wife, Anita and children, Don, Marilyn, Tim and Roger.  He is also survived by three brothers; Leland, Harold and Robert; nine grandchildren, as well as 23 great-grand children and eight great-great-granchildren.

Glen graduated from Fillmore High School in 1940.  He married Anita Coleman on October 4, 1942.  He enlisted in the U. S. Army Air Corps in 1943, and in his words, "fought the battle of Florida", serving as aerial gunnery instructor in B-17's and B-24's, both in Florida and in Texas.

After the war, he and Anita moved back to Fillmore.  Glen was a long-time small business owner, was active in Rotary and in youth sports, serving as a little league coach for many years.  Glen loved baseball and passed along his love of the sport to his family.

In 1969, Glen and Anita moved from Fillmore to Clayton, ID, where they purchased the Saturday Mountain trailer park situated along the Salmon River.  After selling the trailer park in 1975, Glen and Anita built a house where they lived during all their remaining years at Clayton.  After construction of the house was completed, Glen went to work for several years at the Clayton Silver Mine and then Cyprus Thompson Creek before finally retiring for good in 1986.

After retiring from Cyprus Thompson Creek, both Glen and Anita served for many years as volunteers and docents at the Custer Museum.  They were also instrumental in the funding of the Friends of Custer Museum.  Glen loved fishing the Salmon River and the many tributaries in the area.  He passed this love of fishing along to his family.

In 2006, Glen and Anita moved to the Gardnerville/Carson City area of Nevada to be closer to family, where Glen lived his final years.
