Flashbacks
Submitted by Dick Mosbarger on December 9, 2008 - 1:53pm.All subscribers of Flashbacks should have your November issue in hand by this date, as they were mailed on November 15 after the very dependable crew of Jolene Stethem, Em Wendel, Jane Johnson, Maxine Merry and Linda Jackson, addressed, stamped and stuffed 960 issues into envelopes. Kathleen McCreary did another great job of editing this issue, and she thanks all of you who sent in letters, stories, pictures and articles. She had so much information that she could not get it all in this issue, but she promises to do so in the next one. So if you like what you see in the Flashbacks, please keep sending in any information you would like to share with the rest of the Flashback readers.
Flashbacks, Vol XII Issue 15, Sept.-Nov. 2007
Submitted by Dick Mosbarger on December 3, 2007 - 11:24am.The fourth issue of the Flashbacks for this year was sent out on November 27 and should be in every subscribers hands by now. This was the first issue prepared by the new editor of the "Flashbacks", Kathleen Penrod McCreary. She did an excellent job in putting it together for the first time, and she plans to make some additions and improvements for the next issue in February. She had some excellent help from the alumni board of directors, as well as from the staff where she works at Fillmore & Western Railroads. It is important and necessary for the alumni office and for Kathleen to receive information from alumni members, as well as from anyone who has information regarding the alumni and alumni members, in order to produce an interesting and up-to-date "Flashbacks". This includes, changes in mailing addresses, as well as e-mail addresses, and name changes, and will also include the names of new Life Members and those who have subscribed to the Flashbacks for another year. Pictures of events regarding the alumni and its members are always appreciated. We will also include letters from scholarship recipients who are attending colleges and universities with descriptions of how they are doing in furthering their education. We want the "Flashbacks" to be something that you look forward to receiving every February, May, August and November, so please send in information you feel others would enjoy reading.
Flashbacks Vol. XII Issue 13, April - May 2007
Submitted by Conway Spitler on April 20, 2007 - 2:49pm.Fillmore High Flashbacks, Vol XII Issue 13, April - May, 2007, will be in the mail, God willing and the help of a few volunteers, this Wednesday.
Over 900 labels must be printed and placed on the envelopes, 900 stamps purchased, and placed on the envelopes. Then the newsletter is stuffed into envelopes and sealed. All then goes to the post office and to your address.
Several have volunteered to assist and will be recognized in the next message.
It is intersting to think back, and there are quite a group still alive, when we had a committee come and we had to sort the mailings by zip code, etc.
There is less detail; however, it just takes time!
Along this line also is the fact that several envelopes are returned because the individual has not given us an updated address.
It is important that we have an up-to-date address in the computer.
