CLASS REUNIONS
CLASS OF 1947
Submitted by Corinna Mozley on February 1, 2012 - 8:44pm.The class of 1947 will hold their 65th class reunion in conjunction with the Alumni Dinner on Saturday June 9th. Classmates will meet for lunch at noon at the home of Calvin and LaVonne Deeter, then adjourn to the Memorial Building around 4:00 pm for more visiting and for dinner at 6:00 pm.
Everyone will be able to stay around to visit with classmates and others until 11:00 pm.
Information has been sent out via e-mail to those who have it and by regular mail after Feb. 1st to those who do not have e-mail.
Class of 1952! Celebrating 60 Years!
Submitted by Mark Ortega on January 26, 2012 - 9:39pm.The class contact for this class reunion is Jim Maddux. (His info is below) The Class of 1952 will hold Their 60th Class Reunion in conjunction with the Annual Alumni Dinner on June 9th, 2012 at the Veterans Memorial Building in Fillmore.
Happy Hour from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. - A time to visit and find out what each has been doing for the past 60 years. Dinner (With Dessert) will be from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Scholarship presentations from 7:00pm to 7:30pm. Memorial Building and Bar will be open until 11:00pm so Alumni have more time to socialize with each other. We will have our own tables, and be put into a section with other 1950's graduates. I would encourage you to make a special effort to attend. The Alumni Association will be sending further information about the dinner. For planning purposes, please let me know if you plan on attending or not. Please let me know your current address, phone numbers and email so your records are current.
If any of you would like to volunteer, I have a few assignments that I would like to delegate. Please let me know.

40th Class Reunion for 1971
Submitted by Corinna Mozley on September 9, 2011 - 7:56pm.We had our class reunion August 13. 2011 out at Elkins Golf Course.
The night was beautiful and the reunion was a great success. We had over 60 classmates and over 125 in attendence. Food was cooked and served by Elkins Golf Course. We had music and pictures. More info to follow from our class president.
If any of you are planning your reunion you might want to consider this venue.
We had a great time and we are looking forward to getting together in another 5 years.

Class of 1945 65th Class Reunion
Submitted by Dick Mosbarger on June 21, 2010 - 9:50am. True to form, the amazing class of 1945 had a great get-together for their 65th reunion. Under the capable hands of Natalie Harthorn Milota, Harold Southwick and Wanda Core Haynes, the class came together at the IHOP restaurant in Fillmore for lunch and the alumni banquet at the Veteran's Memorial Building for dinner on Saturday, June 12th. Those attending were Pat Nelson Collins, Inez Mosbarger Ritchie, Vernon and Anabeth James, Kenneth James, Harold Southwick and sons Scott and Todd, J. C. Taylor, Clayton Buchanan, William "Spud" Walsh, Wanda Basolo Gunter and Armond Gunter (class of '42), Betty King Bishop, Natalie Harthorn Milota, Evelyn Hickox Johnson (class of '43) and Wanda Core Haynes.
1978-1979 Combined Class Reunion
Submitted by Dick Mosbarger on September 29, 2009 - 11:11am.According reports from all who attended, the combined class reunion for the classes of 1978 and 1979 was a great success. Trish Urea Gradias, '79 and Mark Ortega, '79, along with their hard working committee, worked many hours contacting classmates via phone and e-mail to get up to date addresses and contacts so everyone would know about the reunion on Friday and Saturday September 25 and 26.
Friday night was a tailgate party at the Gradias' in anticipation of attending the football game that night. However, the game was cancelled, but the party went on as planned. Saturday was a busy day for the planning committe in decorating the Memorial Building for the reunion that evening.
Friends began gathering around 4:00 p.m., and the excitement grew as more classmates appeared. At 5:30, Principal, John Wilber '79, took all those who wished to on a tour of the high school campus, which many had not seen since they graduated 30 years ago. Most were very impressed with the changes that had been made. Dinner, which was catered by Gary Laird's Barbecue was served, but that didn't slow down the visiting or remeniscing that was taking place. Special guests were introduced: Mr. & Mrs. Bill Putman, Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Rees, Mr. & Mrs. Dick Mosbarger, Mr. & Mrs. Ken Mittan, Mrs. Lucy Rangel and Mr. Angel Ortega. Dancing and socializing went on all evening and door prizes were given out throughout the evening.
A Sunday morning continental breakfast at the home of Mark Ortega topped off a very successful combined class reunion. The next one is scheduled for the fall of 2013.
